STREETLIFTING NORDIC

WHAT IS STREETLIFTING NORDIC?

Streetlifting Nordic is an annual 1RM competition that most recently took place in Stockholm, Sweden, on November 30th, 2024. The competition is organized by streetlifting enthusiasts Samuel Kidane, Ermias Kidane, and Teodor Dahlgren in collaboration with the Swedish Calisthenics Federation, SthlmSthenics, and Swag. Participants from all over the Nordic region have the opportunity to come together for this single event. The regulations largely mimic those of FinalRep, which is considered the unofficial world championship in streetlifting. With top-quality equipment and experienced organizers, the goal is to maintain its reputation as the one and only biggest and best streetlifting/1RM competition in the Nordic region.

Streetlifting Nordic also acts as a partner to the Swedish Calisthenics Federation, providing equipment for the federation’s and its affiliated clubs’ events and competitions.

BEHIND STREETLIFTING NORDIC?

Streetlifting Nordic is an initiative that began in 2024, spearheaded by Samuel Kidane, a board member of the Swedish Calisthenics Federation. Through his role as the 1RM/Power Manager and his experience as a personal trainer and coach at SthlmSthenics, Samuel recognized the growing potential of streetlifting. His passion for weighted calisthenics, which has been a core component of his own training regimen, led to the formation of this initiative.

Samuel’s vision was shared by Teodor Dahlgren and Ermias Kidane, both also board members of the Swedish Calisthenics Federation. Together, they formed the core team behind Streetlifting Nordic. This group is united by a common goal: to help calisthenics reach its full potential across the Nordic region. Their collective ambition is to establish Streetlifting Nordic as a prominent movement in the sport, fostering growth and opportunity for the calisthenics community in Scandinavia—and beyond.

WANT TO TEST YOUR STRENGTH?

In order to plan the event as well as possible, we at Streetlifting Nordic would like athletes to fill out an expression of interest. This is non-binding and only preliminary. The purpose is to be able to plan a competition that accommodates the potential number of participants. Since Streetlifting Nordic is a new initiative, it presents new challenges for event planning. We want to make this competition as great as possible, and therefore, we appreciate if you take the time to register your interest.

As always, you should know that all the competitions we have organized are nothing without our fantastic crew members. It is undoubtedly the crew that makes it possible for the athletes to have competitions to participate in and for the audience to have a show to watch. To make this competition as successful as possible, we need crew members for various roles on site. These roles do not involve heavy responsibilities but rather a helping hand from those who want to get involved. Can you see yourself being that helping hand to ensure this event becomes something memorable?
